Barefoot in line

I went out this weekend and noticed an all-too-familiar sight at the taxi line outside the casino – almost all the women in line, dressed in their sexy Saturday night cocktail dresses, were holding their spiky high heeled shoes in one hand, standing barefoot on the dirty cement, and looking miserable.
I myself love wearing sexy heels and I love going barefoot, but in Vegas it gets pretty amusing sometimes looking at the throngs of otherwise well-dressed ladies who can’t seem to keep their shoes on! I got to thinking about just how much strategy I really employ when getting dressed to go out, I careful consider how much time I expect to spend walking, standing, or waiting before putting shoes on to go out, and I usually tailor my outfit to match. I try to pick the sexiest heels I can possibly get away with without being on of those unfortunate shoe-toting ladies I saw in line today, most of whom were dangling 5″+ heels from their hands.
Personally, I just do not see the point in wearing shoes like that too far out of the bedroom but that’s just me. At least you know where to find all the well-dressed barefoot ladies in Vegas now, though. What do you think? Sexy or silly? I really wish I had my camera with me – there were probably 40 ladies in line and I think I was one of 3 still wearing my heels by the time I got to the front of the line. I have *got* to keep my camera on hand to capture more of this stuff – you wouldn’t believe how often I see it!
